Inside the Cup Golf Game:

Welcome to the world of Inside the Cup Golf (ITCG) !
We have two versions of the game available. A traditional board game with cards and a PC port of same but played fully on the Windows platform. Both versions are discussed and available for purchase below.

Inside the Cup is a simulation of the sport of golf using PGA Tour players and courses.

The development of the game started as a spinoff of the old Avalon Hill Golf game and then blossomed into something all its own. The stats the PGA tour keeps are much more detailed than ever before allowing for players to really show their strengths and weaknesses on golfer cards. Golfers are rated for driving length and accuracy. The cards show the golfers’ ability to hit greens from all distances along with proximity to the hole. Scrambling shots from the sand or around the green are captured as well as putting ability for distance and keeping away from the 3 putt.

Courses are depicted in colorful segments showing the good and the bad places on each hole. As shots are hit they end up in quadrants on the course that show the next club that will need to be used. Stay in the fairway and your next shot should be easier and hold better on the green. Hitting out of the rough or worse can make the shot to the green harder and might not hold up like you like. You don’t want to be too far off the green as those areas could spell danger, while around the green shows safer chip shots or bunkers to hit out of. Some greens even have adjustments that make them easier to hole out or some are more likely to bring out a 3 putt.

Gamers can just let the golfers’ golf or you can have some strategic decisions to make. Should I hit a little less club onto this narrow fairway? Go for it on this par 5? Should I go pin hunting or just play it safe to the middle of the green? Should I putt aggressively or just lag it up there and get off this green?

There are even ways to quick play the game. You can go hole by hole or finish a round with one roll of the dice. ITCG is a fairly fast playing game that can allow a gamer to take his favorite golfers out on some of his favorite courses without leaving his own table.

Inside the Cup Golf (ITCG) for Windows PC:

The Windows version of ITCG plays exactly like the board game version of
ITCG. The golfer cards and hole card are displayed on the screen, the dice rolls are automatically generated and the program keeps stats.

ITCG for Windows makes playing ITCG an option for those who may prefer
playing a PC sim instead of the board game version.

ITCG features:
- There are two different options to choose from when playing game. You can play a round using between one to four golfers or you can play a tournament.

- Round play
When playing a round you can choose to play up to four golfers.  You can manually control all four golfers or let the PC control any number of the four.  You can also choose between Stroke Play or Match Play (using two golfers).

- Tournament play
When playing a tournament, you can choose two different methods:  

Quick play mode uses the built-in golfer/course quick play ratings to generate the golfers' round scores.  

Manual mode uses the golfer/course ratings to generate the results with full golfer/course stats being generated.  Golfers will take to the course in groups of three.  You can choose to manually control all three of the golfers or let the PC control any number of the three.

- During the course of playing, you can save the round/tournament and pick up playing where you left off at a later time.

- Golfer/Course stats can be saved and compiled.

- Golfer ratings and compiled statistics can be viewed with a few mouse clicks.  When viewing a golfers' ratings/statistics a biological section will also be displayed (must be connected to the internet for this feature to work).

- Golfer and Course statistics can be viewed and each individual stat can be sorted by a simple click of a mouse button.

- A Golfer stat comparison feature will make it easy to compare how the golfer is performing compared to his real life performance.

- Using the Golfer Comparison feature, you can select two golfers and quickly tell which categories each golfer has the edge in.

- Golfers will earn points based on their tournament performance and you can view the golfer ratings as the season progresses.

Inside the Cup Golf.exe : Run this file to install the demo of ITCG.
This is a fully functional version of ITCG.  During installation, 4 sample golfers will automatically be installed along with a 3 hole course (ISG Links) which you can use during the 5 day trial period.

The demo will run for 5 days before it becomes inactive. An unlock key must be purchased to register the demo.
